A few months ago, I started pitching Comic-Con to a few of the magazines and websites that haven’t covered the con in the past. Considering how popular “geek culture” has become, I thought it was time for some of these fashion and culture publications to feature all of the wonderful things the con has to offer in addition to the celebrities that attend.
So after hours upon hours of research and emails, I compiled a list of events and headed down with my friend & assistant, Adrian, to shoot for Nylon.com and Racked.com
SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON RECAP PART 1 - THURSDAY - HER UNIVERSE FASHION SHOW
We drove down Thursday, checked into our hotel room, and headed out for the first of three events Thursday evening; the Her Universe Fashion Show. This show featured competitors from all over the country who had created “couture” pieces inspired by their favorite characters. I was immediately impressed by the talent of all of the designers.
I like the idea of taking every woman joke from the last season, and turning them into Moffat jokes.
do it, seriously, do it.
Maybe that way moffat-fans will finally notice what a crap their idol is doing.
because really, easy formula ‘replace ‘woman/girl/any term referring to a female character, cis or otherwise’ with ‘Moffat’. If his fans are outraged how mean you are to him, congrats, the original ‘joke’ was an unfunny sexist/transphobic piece of crap’
